ORANGE BLOSSOM SOCIETY HOSTS AN EEEKO-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN COSTUME SWAP (Redmond, WA) – Orange Blossom Society™, a social hub and enrichment center for families, has teamed up with Green Halloween®, a not-for-profit community initiative, to help families celebrate healthier and more cost effective Halloween. "By applying the 3Rs-reduce, reuse, recycle-to every aspect of Halloween, parents can save money while creating healthier traditions for kids and the Earth," says Corey Colwell-Lipson, founder of Green Halloween and a local Eastside mom. Always purchased new costumes? This year, SWAP! National Costume Swap Day is October 8th, so before heading to the big box store, participate in the local Orange Blossom Society costume swap. Bring in your gently used costumes (& accessories) and receive a token to choose a new-to-you costume to wear this Halloween. Orange Blossom Society and Whole Foods in Redmond will offer drop-off locations for gently used costumes. Drop-off dates and hours will be: Sept 15 to Oct 5, Mon-Thurs Noon-5:00pm at Orange Blossom Society Sept 17 to Oct 2, Saturdays & Sundays at Whole Foods, Redmond On October 8th come to Orange Blossom Society 2-5pm (Preview for OBS members at 1:30pm) to swap your token for a new-to-you Halloween costume. During the swap local businesses such as Whole Foods Redmond, Cedar Grove Composting & Macaroni Kid plan to add to the festive activities. Plus the Redmond Police Department will share important safety tips for families to keep this Halloween spook-tacular!
